"Morri" Sims works in mixed media and collage but is primarily a painter. She has been described as a post impressionist, poetic expressionist, and allegorist due to the vibrant colors, expressive brushstrokes, texture, and symbolism within her work.

Morri lives and maintains a studio and tea room on a secluded river island — their home, built in 1880, serves as a living gallery — a true artist's salon — throughout all three floors. She shares her world with her husband, John, and their rescue pups, Cassie (Blue Heeler) and Casper (Anatolian Shepherd). Drayton Island is located in the St John's River (Florida, US) and is only accessible by boat or a small ferry.

Morri's work is in public, corporate, and private collections in the US and abroad, and she has participated in group and solo exhibitions in the US and abroad.

Formal Education

Morri holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of North Florida and an Associate of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, from the Florida School of the Arts — a foundation rooted in both discipline and creative freedom. Her studies have been further enriched through workshops both locally and abroad, where the exchange of ideas and immersion in new environments have deeply informed her practice.
